If you like drama, this could be your club.

I've been a member here for two years. I received a phone call from Diane yesterday to inform me of a moment I'm having with one of there fitness staff. The staff member is saying things that are not true and Diane would rather take her word. I informed Diane that I have over one and a half years of text messages with this fitness instructor that would explain this moment and requested that I could come in and show her. She refused.

I told her the following: You're hitting the bullseye on the wrong target, I believe your employee is stressed out and needs a vacation, I reassured her that I have zero interests in this fitness instructor romantically, and I did not cause this event.

Here are some things that she could know if she would be open for discussing:

The staff member asked me out (socially) and that goes against EBC policy.

The staff member and I went out socially. The staff member has been in my home several times.

This situation goes outside of her scope of employment. She does not have the right to affect a relationship that her own employee started with me outside of the scope of business. For the record I keep telling the employee I am not attracted to her. It's a moment that I think the employee is having some personal challenges in her life and she's taking it out on me.

Diane- you have zero abilities to listen- I feel bad for your employees health, but I am not your problem.

I love this country club so much! I would recommend it time and time again. As someone who has some experience with upscale gyms, EBC takes the cake ?. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They’re so willing to answer questions upon signing up and have had the privilege to get a couple of tours of the facility since it’s so big and I forgot where things were lol. The members are also kind and it’s easy to socialize here. I’ve met some awesome women in my classes and can see myself continuing to make friends and acquaintances. Love how they have social events every so often. The food there is delectable, too. The pools are always clean and their rooftop is gorgeous. I would continually recommend this place. Such a good place to be at in Chicago, especially during the summertime. EBC is worth every penny and I will continue to be a member there for a very long time. Join!! You won’t regret it.

I want to express my gratitude to the East Bank club staff and members. I have a 7 year old very medically complicated, quadriplegic daughter and when I take her swimming I feel safe, supported and seen. Staff and members equally proactively move to help, make things a little easier, and make my daughter feel included. I was so moved today that I almost cried. Thank you for the unexpected gift.

Been a member for decades. Love how mgmt treats the employees. Facilities are good. And space -- enough room to maneuver. Classes first rate. Parking, store, pool and deck, grill are nice. Now when are locker rooms going to be renovated. Overall excellent and a Chicago icon. ⭐️

Back in town for a beautiful chicago weekend day. Spent the morning at East Bank Club: spin class, weight lifting, hot yoga class. Then, in the afternoon, I stopped by the co-working space for a little bit of work, followed by a relaxing outdoor hot tub and indoor sauna. EBC is the best club in Chicago

Was a member at EBC for about a year but left to be somewhere closer to home. Overall this is an AMAZING facility and has everything you could think of (spa, salon, several weight rooms, food bar, tons of places to relax and study, etc.). Other than that, I loved taking Pilates and Personal Training in private sessions. Average bill ran about $1500 a month, but so worth every single penny.
The staff here is also INCREDIBLY amazing.
The C-level executives who run this gym, however, are atrocious and mock members who come forward with concerns.
