The doctors at the ER all told us they could close my child’s injury then and there if we gave them permission. The problem they cautioned us was if they did his face and eye would droop and there would be nerve damage if wasn’t done by special skilled pediatric Neuro/plastic surgeon and none were there or available. in the hospital at the time. We told them we didn’t want our child to have nerve damage, and definitely didn’t want to have his eye, and related muscles in his face to droop.
After discussing it in detail they offered to make calls and see if anyone with those qualifications would be willing to come in at that hour. .
The only doctor willing to come at that hour was Dr. Fuentes who immediately came to the emergency room and repaired the gaping hole in my child’s head.
My child is now a young adult and we are grateful to Dr. Fuentes to this day. My son has a small scar that he grew less self consciousness of over the years, but the fact he doesn’t have drooping eye and nerve damage is something we will always have him to thank for! Dr. Fuentes fixed a deep gaping hole that exposed the white his skull that is not barely noticeable. I am so glad we didn’t have them just stitch and staple it there on the spot!.

My 3 year old son fell and required a number of stitches on his chin. Dr. Fuentes was recommended to me by a friend, and I cannot recommend him enough. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon when most people would be out enjoying the day, Dr. Fuentes immediately met us at the hospital to stitch my son. We were in and out of the hospital in just a short amount of time, with no waiting. Dr. Fuentes has a wonderful bedside manner, and my 3 year old was so comfortable with him. Definitely save his number in your phones in the event of any emergencies - I've been telling all of my friends to do the same! Thank you, Dr. Fuentes!

Dr Fuentes is the best! We met him in the hospital when my 4 year old daughter needed stitches in her chin, he did a great job, was very quick and calm despite a child that was not too happy about it. My daughter actually loved him! Then when my 2 year old daughter needed stitches in her eyelid, we called him immediately and he met us at the hospital ER which meant we didn't have to wait at all and that was amazing! Again he worked very calmly and carefully despite a screaming child, he even kissed another booboo (a tiny scrape) she had on her knee when she pointed it out to him which made her feel better. 🙂 His after care instructions are very clear and he was very good at explaining everything to us. Thank you Dr. Fuentes!

Brought my 6 yr son to Huntington hospital tonight and requested plastic surgeon after it was determined my son required stitches on split eye. Dr Fuentes was calming, yet confident, went over all steps prior to procedure & while working on my son kept checking on me to make sure I was ok. Follow up on Friday, but am so grateful to have him available for my baby.

Dr. Fuentes is absolutely amazing. Jan, his assistant, is awesome, too. I needed extensive work done on my eyes, but I never expected to feel so well taken care of. I could not imagine any celebrity being treated better. And the best part is that two weeks after surgery, friends could not even find the tiny scars.
I have since reccomended him to several friends, many of whom begged for his contact info. If you need any kind of corrective work done, this is definitely the place to go!

I feel so very blessed that Dr. Fuentes was the doctor on call the night that I suffered a injury to my nose from a dog bite. My left nostril was severed and I also suffered a large laceration to my septum and a small one to my lower lip. Dr. Fuentes was incredibly confident, sensitive, and calming during this traumatic night for me. He repaired my face with incredible ease and precision. Now, over a year later, no one can tell that I was injured unless I point it out. As a woman in her 40s who has never even had stitches before, to experience an injury like this was incredibly traumatic and caused me a LOT of anxiety about living with a scar from it. Dr. Fuentes repaired it so well and the experience of having him care for me was nothing less than incredible. I've been back to his office for a treatment of Jeuveau for cosmetic purposes and he was equally as skilled, caring, and amazing! Thank you Dr. Fuentes!

Dr. Fuentes awaited our arrival at Huntington Hospital for emergency stitches our 4 year old needed on her face. He was patient with our screaming child and explained what he would be doing to us. He worked calmly and swiftly under the pressure of our screaming, scared child. He followed up with a personal call the following morning. Post op he made our daughter feel comfortable and eased her fears of stitch removal. He included her in the process allowing her to hold the tools and giving her a sense of some control. He explained what should be done, as well as sent a hand written follow up note to our home. He's a class act, professional, kind, and did a clean, beautiful job. His office staff also was kind and helpful.
